My first participation in this new found event What Works for me Wednesday -- LOVE EDITION. So many good ideas over there at Rocks in my Dryer already! Love the chocolate kisses idea (see #7).

My first thought was to share an idea I received via the Generous Wife emails I get weekly, but then I remembered that a certain special husband of mine reads this blog and I don't want to give away any of my secrets.

Sooooo, I thought to save you all some money you might want to create your own Valentine's day card. Plus, you have a WHOLE week to get your card ready to give to that certain special someone.

Here are some quotes that you can choose from. It was hard to narrow it down to a few favorites from my quote collection, but alas...

"I know thee,
I have found thee,
and I will not let thee go..."
~ William Blake

"Love alone is capable of uniting human beings in such a way as to complete and fulfill them, for it alone takes them and joins them by what is deepest in themselves"
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

You have intensified all colours,
heightened all beauty,
deepened all delight.

I love you more than life, my beauty, my wonder. - Duff Cooper

Love me with thine hand stretched out
Freely ~ open-minded....

~Elizabeth Barrett Browning~

To be loved and chosen by a good man is the best and sweetest thing which can happen to a woman....
~Louisa May Alcott

I look at my husband's beloved body and I am very aware of the mystery of the Word make flesh, his flesh, the flesh of all of us, made potential.
~ Madeline L' Engle

Okay.... I could seriously go on forever, but just two more...

Nothing is sweeter than love;
nothing is stronger,
nothing higher,
nothing wider;
nothing happier,
nothing fuller,

nothing better in heaven and earth.....
~Thomas a Kempis

human love.... consists in this:
that two solitudes protect and border and greet each other.

*Rainer Maria Rilke

  5. Nice quotes. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Congratulations on the new babies! I pray for twins each and every pregnancy! I don't think I'll ever stop wanting to have children until I have twins. My second preg was twins, but only one live birth.
