Need a little rainbow? ~ 1.9.12

"For Christians, the beginning of the day should not be burdened and haunted by various kinds of concerns that they face during the day. The Lord stands above the new day, for God has made it. All restlessness, all impurity, all worry and anxiety flee before him. Therefore, in the early morning hours of the day, may our many thoughts and our many idle words be silent and may the first word and the first thought belong to the one to whom our whole life belongs "                       ~Dietrich Bonhoeffer

-found this quote back some ways on my blog and thought it was so appropriate for my week.

We are moving this week.
We are saying good-bye to a dear uncle, Jim, today.
I have too many baby appointments to fit in around all the other things in my week.
Three out of four of my kids have been sick.... with the stomach bug.... so that leaves just one left.

but through all of that God is still God and I must carry on through each of the zillions of tasks before me with grace and patience and charity.

So, be encouraged as I am encouraged on this Monday morning in January.

Now laugh at this funny picture of Mr. Crafty and I and our first/last turkey... first turkey I've ever cooked and last turkey in this place we've called home for 9 years. (also one of the last pictures my silly Canon point and shoot will ever take... grrr)

  1. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your uncle. And I'm sure you're feeling so bittersweet saying goodbye to the place you've called home for so long. I hope this week is smooth sailing for you and that you'll be able to begin the settling in process with ease soon.

The first turkey looks like a success to me! I heart turkey and think its fun to cook one.

Hope the kids are on the upswing!
